Magazines are in excellent condition for 50+ years old. They were purchased in the late 1970s at an estate sale for the famed Ben Hur Farms in Portland, Indiana.
Ben Hur Farms was owned by Herbert and Blanche Tormohlen, both extremely knowledgeable breeders. Its program, which lasted for over 35 years, combined the breeding of two of the most successful programs existing at that time, that of the Davenport horses and Crabbet Stud in England. More here
